My SL Family Blogger Challenge!

1. What is your SL family surname?

Gilmore
Cause we're the Gilmore Girls!

2. What is the make-up of your family? (Parents, kids, siblings etc)

My Mamaboo, myself, one Auntie, a GodMom & 3 God Siblings!

3. How long have you been in the SL family community?

About 5 years now.

4. When did you first hear about the SL family community and what was your view on it before you were in it?

I can't remember the exact year, but I remember seeing my first child avi and thought it was really messed up! One of my friends at the time had a family (kids etc) and I saw how normal they made it seem. I decided to adopt (on my big avi at the time) and discovered for myself just how "normal" it really was.

5. How did you join your (first) SL family?

I went to an adoption place where I met my first Mom (who is now my GodMom). We hit it off instantly and sort of knew each other or knew of each other from a mutual friend. I was with her for a few months then went on to meet my Mamaboo.

6. Do you have a kid avatar?

Yep! My kid avi is now my main avi.

7. Do you have an adult avatar?

Mhm! I still use her to build houses when I get the building itch. 

8. When did you first decide to make a child avatar?

My daughter on my big avi left SL a few years back to have her own baby. I decided to take an alt I never used and turn her into a child avi. I wasn't expecting to enjoy it at all. But I am really glad I took a chance. I have met so many wonderful people and am so very happy with my family.

9. Why do you play a child avatar?

It is so much fun!

10. What do you like about being a parent in SL?

I have the most amazing daughters and am really lucky to have found them. Even though they are no longer active in SL, I am still able to be a part of their RL and keep in contact. That's one of the great things about SL in general. Your "virtual" friends are a part of your life in both worlds. I actually got to meet my Babykinz in RL a few years back!

11. Do you do family roleplay? If so, what kind of roleplay? Paragraphs, emoting – or just “acting like”?

I would say we do light role play. Mainly "acting like". It's nice to have friends and family over for movie night, dinner etc too!

12. Do you have any special family-related activities? (Dinners, camp etc.)

We have dinner, story time, movie night, camp, book club, girl scouts, family vaca and so much more.

13. What is the thing you love most about your SL family?

I love how close my Mama & I are. She has made me a better person and I was also blessed to meet her in RL last year as well. We just get each other, and that is something so hard to find.
